Aeternum

A Journey Beyond the Veil of Life

The Thread and the Hand

Are we but threads in the loom,
woven tightly into patterns unseen,
or do we hold the needle,
guiding the fabric with each choice?
Destiny whispers,
soft and constant,
that all roads lead to where we must go.
But free will shouts back,
insistent,
that the turns are ours to take.

Perhaps it is both
a river carved by ancient hands,
yet we choose the strokes as we swim.
The currents pull,
but the direction is ours
if we dare to fight the tide.

What if destiny is not a chain,
but a map with many roads?
Some paths are clearer,
etched deep by forces we don’t understand.
Yet at each fork,
we feel the weight of choice,
the trembling power
to shape what comes next.

We are dreamers and drifters,
captains and castaways,
caught between the pull of stars
and the strength of our oars.
Bound, perhaps,
but never entirely.
